Throughout a four-month semester, I created 12 new icons for 3 iconography redesign projects. This example exhibits the proposed design of new 5 icons for the Boston Children's Hospital signage. The goal of this project was to create playful icons that lighten up a typically visually sterile environment while adhering to branding and naming guidelines. Built in Adobe Illustrator.

The fun challenge with the icons was utilizing consistent spacing within the elements to symbolize different parts and features of the sea creatures. A subtle Easter egg in the design is that the icons should help with remembering which wing they symbolize: Hunnewell = Humpback whale, Fegan = Fur seal, Bader = Beluga whale, Pavillion = Penguin, and Main = Manatee.
